I started watching Bona Appetit, Your Majesty with a lot of excitement. The initial episodes were really engaging, and the male lead brought so much charm and charisma to the role, making the drama really enjoyable.

The beginning was strong, and the storytelling was solid, drawing me in and keeping me hooked. The charm of the king and the cooking elements really made the show stand out.

However, as the series went on, it felt like those strong elements weren’t enough to hold the story together. Without the male lead’s charm and the cooking scenes, the drama didn’t quite have much left to offer. It was really all about that charming king and the cooking, and without them, the story fell flat.

Also, the ending could have been stronger by focusing more on the main characters. I hoped to see the pure excitement and joy of their reunion. It was nothing short of a miracle, and the thought of a Joseon king suddenly facing the wonders of modern life could have been truly magical to watch.

In the end, it’s a bit of a mixed feeling. The show had its strengths, but it also left me wanting more in terms of depth and emotional payoff.
